<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;"> Space Access 2019 will be the next round of <astyle="color: #009;"href="http://space-access.org"target="_blank"rel="noopener noreferrer">Space Access Society's conference on the technology, business, and politics of radically cheaper space transportation, brought to you this year by the Bay Area's own <astyle="color: #009;"href="http://www.erps.org/"target="_blank"rel="noopener noreferrer">Experimental Rocket Propulsion Societyin cooperation with SAS.

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">And it's coming up fast! In just one month SA2019 gets underway. The Marriott is ten miles from the San Jose Airport, 24 from Oakland - book your flights soon before fares go up. And there's no guarantee the Marriott will honor our special $130 room rates after March 26th - our rate block is already sold out for Wednesday night, and Thursday-Saturday are going fast, so <astyle="color: #009;"href="#hotelrooms">book your roomsoon also! Conference Registration also goes up after the 26th, from the current $180 advance rate for Regular membership to $220, other rates also rising. <astyle="color: #009;"href="#conferenceregistration">Register now, and join us!

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">Also, we've run into local budget problems withputting on our traditional Hospitality suite spread - <astyle="color: #009;"href="#HospitalityDonation">Learn How You Can Help!

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">SA2019 will feature a cross-section of the growing cheap access community, talking about what's going on now and what happens next, in an intensive informal atmosphere, single-track throughout so you don't have to miss anything. Space Access has been described as a "Hackers" conference for rocket people, with better content than other space conferences costing many times more. It's three days of total immersion in making the future happen.

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;"><astyle="color: #009;"href="http://space-access.org/updates/sa2019schedule.html"target="_schedule"rel="noopener noreferrer"> This presentations schedule represents 90% of the final <astyle="color: #009;"href="http://space-access.org/updates/sa2019schedule.html"target="_schedule"rel="noopener noreferrer">SA2019 three-day program. Things have evolved toward our having three major focus areas over the three days of the program:<spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">On Thursday, we feature the current Entrepreneurial Revolution in Smallsat Launch. On Friday, the near-future transition to Reusable-Rocket Transport Networks in Earth-Moon Space. And on Saturday, the eventual transition to Getting There Faster: Advanced High-Energy Space Propulsion. Stay tuned for minor schedule tweaks, more detail on presentations start-time & duration, and a few final program additions in the coming weeks.

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">We're still interested in Student Space Project Presentations - we have just a few short (5-10 minute) timeslots left in the main program track for student/amateur presentations on interesting (not necessarily directly access-related) space projects. <pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">We have negotiated a special deal for the convention, with a room rate of only $130 per night (in Silicon Valley!) so book your room soon to keep you in the heart of the conference. So book your room soon!

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">Hotel Note: Our Wednesday-night $130-rate room block is full. The Marriott is quoting much higher rates for Wednesday outside our block. You might want to look for a better Wednesday 4/17/19 rate nearby at <astyle="color: #009;"href="https://www.google.com/maps/place/Fremont+Marriott+Silicon+Valley/@37.486441,-121.9466955,15z/data=!4m15!1m6!2m5!1sHotels!5m3!5m2!1s2019-04-17!3i1!3m7!1s0x808fc6532e9a97cb:0xabf3c1776d5cb81c!5m2!1s2019-04-17!3i1!8m2!3d37.4891868!4d-121.9460776"target="_map"rel="noopener noreferrer">this link. (The Extended Stay America right next door seems to still have reasonable Wednesday rates.) The Marriott does have rooms left at our rates for Thursday-Sunday. Even if you need to stay elsewhere Wednesday night we would appreciate your coming back to the Marriott after that, for your added convenience and to help us make our contractual room-nights obligation. We regret any inconvenience, and look forward to seeing you all at what's shaping up to be a great conference.

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">We will have a combined Hospitality space and Exhibitor Room in the Fremont mini-ballroom, right across the foyer from the main SA2019 Presentations Ballroom. Exhibitor membership will get you one Regular membership, a 6' or 8' display table, and two chairs. Space is limited and will be assigned on a first come first served basis. When space is filled we will create a waitlist. Register at the $300 Exhibitor Rate while it's still available at <astyle="color: #009;"href="http://sa2019.erps.org/reg/reg.php"target="_blank"rel="noopener noreferrer">SA2019 online registration.

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">Previous Space Access conferences have been known for their lavish Hospitality spreads. We've been able to do that on our customary shoestring budgets only because we were able to bring in our own food & beverage rather than pay typical ten-times higher Hotel f&b prices.

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">Unfortunately this Marriott is serious about allowing only their own food & beverage in hotel function spaces. And our hotel bill this year is already impressively steep, the Bay Area being what it is. On available budget our Hospitality area this year would be a sparse and spartan experience (aside from the reliably sparkling company there you all so generously provide.)

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">Unless, that is, you <astyle="color: #009;"href="reg/special.html"target="_blank"rel="noopener noreferrer">Donate To The SA2019 Hospitality Fund!<spanstyle="font-size: 9pt;">(Fully tax-deductible as ERPS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.) Any size donation gratefully accepted, but you can be a listed Hospitality co-sponsor for a day for $500, and a full sponsor for a day for $1000. <spanstyle="font-size: 9pt;">(Any donations in excess of our final Hospitality food&beverage bill will be applied toward the rest of our large Marriott tab for function space etc. Any donations in excess of that will go towards other ERPS 501(c)(3) compatible activities in development and promulgation of liquid fuel rocket technology.)

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">As with past years, we will be providing a live stream of the video and audio of the Presentations to the Exhibits Room and Hospitality. We hope to record the presentations for posterity.

<pstyle="padding-left: 30px;"><spanstyle="font-size: 10pt;">No conference can run smoothly without the help of lots of dedicated people. If you'd like to help organize and run this conference, we'd like to hear from you!
